Brief profile
In order to bring the blending of face-to-face teaching (in the sense of FAU’s self-image as a face-to-face university) and online teaching to a wider audience, an internal funding program will be announced for the winter semester 2022/23 to motivate teachers to come up with innovative ideas for blending face-to-face and online teaching within the framework of flipped classroom concepts and to support their decentralized testing.
In addition to supplementing classroom teaching with innovative digital formats and the use of innovative tools or concepts for interaction, the program also focuses on promoting digital skills among students.
Program objectives
The grant program is designed to activate and support FAU faculty staff to design, pilot, and mainstream blended Flipped Classroom courses. The call for proposals is flanked by accompanying measures such as consulting, networking, communication and evaluation.
What is funded?
Funding is provided for support in the development and testing of teaching and learning offerings as well as (digital) teaching-learning materials based on the Flipped Classroom concept with a focus on examinations and/or internationalization, which have as their object the establishment and implementation of digital and physical accompanying measures and support offerings, the promotion of interaction between all course participants, and the promotion of digital competencies.
