The topic of online assessment is crucial in digital transformation processes at higher education institutions within Europe. These processes have created many new possibilities to get grip on students’ learning progress or to measure students’ learning success. The open online course has been developed within the Erasmus+ project „Remote.EDU – Empower teachers for remote online assessments in higher education (Remote.EDU)“ and aims at empowering and professionalising higher education instructors in designing, choosing, and implementing online assessment. In addition, this course introduces the topic of assessing learner skills in the context of virtual mobility and internationality and offers a step-by-step-guidance for the development of respective learning environments and assessment scenarios. Overall, instructors and other interested parties (with and without experience in online assessment) can benefit from the course content.
In this webinar, the course will be presented with its content, development process and special features (e.g., decision tool on online assessment methods, expert contributions). Furthermore, time will be given for discussion of the content, potential usage of the online course and other aspects and/or questions. The webinar is held in English and is jointly offered by the project coordinator Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU, Germany), on behalf of the project consortium Universitat de Lleida (Spain), Middle East Technical University (Turkey), Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and FAU.
