„Face to Face to distance – and back“

How to transfer language courses from face-to-face to online/distance format?

The Erasmus+ project „F2F2D and back“ came to an end and culminated in the final online conference. This conference was organized by the Innovation in Learning Institute (ILI) with the partner organisations.

What was the project about? Digital tools and concepts help to redesign language courses in the context of adult education. In the NewNormal, online and blended formats are introduced that ideally combine the advantages of synchronous and asynchronous sessions. Learners and teachers can thus gain new degrees of freedom, both in terms of the learning process and the organization of learning.

But which concepts are there, how do they work and why?
Based on practical examples and the presentation of results from the European project Face-to-face to distance, these and other questions were discussed and possible answers developed. You can read and download the project results and tools on the projec’s homepage https://www.f2f2d.eu/site/

Keynote 1: The use of news videos in foreign language learning (Dr. Ramona Schöpf)

Ramona Schröpf teaches Intercultural Management and Business Communication in English and French at the Department of Economics at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. She will give insight on how to didactically use the news as a starting point for teaching language.

in online language courses without losing faith (Tobias Wildner)

Tobias Wildner is a programme manager at the Adult Education Centre in Nuremberg, a trainer for German as a foreign language and an advanced trainer for teachers in adult education. He is currently supporting the conception of digital teaching and learning at six Bavarian Universities of Fine Arts and Musik.
